Bio
Caroline Lubbe is a Chemical Engineering Ph.D. student at the University of Florida. She previously worked as an REU student at the University of Florida from May 2022 to August 2022, collaborating with Dr. Sindia Rivera-Jimenez within the Engineering Communities & Participatory Change (ECoPaC) research group. Her research efforts centered on the exploration of how professional societies and communities of practice influence faculty members to integrate engineering social responsibility themes into the chemical engineering curriculum. As part of her role, Caroline designed interview protocols and reflection questions for a study spanning the 2022-2023 academic year and presented at the Fall 2022 NSF Engineering Education & Centers Grantees Conference. She is excited to return to ECoPaC as a Ph.D. student and analyze the data from the study she helped develop during her REU.
