
Call for Participation: Engineering Faculty Perspectives on Integrating Social Responsibility into the Curriculum (IRB202300661)
About the Study: In this qualitative study, participants will engage in dialogue through focus groups and interviews to assess the feasibility and effectiveness of incorporating social responsibility into chemical engineering education curricula. The study aims to empower faculty to effect positive social change and overcome challenges associated with implementing new instructional innovations.
What to Expect: To be eligible, you must be a chemical engineering instructor at a U.S. university, have a minimum of 2 semesters of teaching experience, and be interested in integrating social responsibility into your curriculum. Participation involves a 1.5-hour focus group and a 1-hour individual interview conducted virtually. This project has been approved by the University of Florida’s Institutional Review Board (IRB # 202301397).
