Caroline Lubbe, ECoPaC doctoral student, was recently chosen for the prestigious National Science Foundation (NSF) internship through the Talent Development and Innovation in Sciences (TDIS) Summer Internship Program. This is a remarkable accomplishment for Caroline, who is now set to work with the NSF on some exciting projects and strategies for promoting under-representation in STEM.

This internship is a fantastic opportunity for Caroline to develop her professional skills and gain invaluable experience in research, education, and public policy. It’s exciting to see young, talented individuals like Lubbe pursuing their passions and making a real difference in the world.
Caroline is a PhD student in the Chemical Engineering Department at the University of Florida. She is supervised by Sindia Rivera-Jimenez, Ph.D., an assistant professor in the Department of Engineering Education (EED) who is also an affiliated faculty member with ChE.
