Congratulations to ECoPaC director Dr. Rivera-Jiménez for receiving two recognition for the paper “A Comparative Study of Collaborative and Inclusive Skills Development in Capstone Design Teams at Three Different Engineering Institutions. ” These awards were given as part of the American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE) Annual Conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
In collaboration with Dr. Courtney A. Pfluger and Dr. Anastasia K. Hauser, the team received the best paper in Design in Engineering Education Division (DEED) out of 52 submissions. In addition, it was also selected as the best paper in the Professional Interest Councils -V (PIC-5). There is five PIC at ASEE, and PIC-V has around 10 divisions.
Rivera indicated, “This work is just the beginning of a long-term commitment to understanding how Collaborative and Inclusive Skills Development are taught in teams.
